  • How to prune?

I'm running out of room on my MD1200 storage.   I lowered my days and cycles to "Zero"  I tried deleteting old jobs.     I need to free up space.   I ran an aux copy to to tape and let run to completion and it didn't free up that much.

    thank you ahead of time

I kind of figured it out.  I lowered the days again and did the data aging and it broke free on needing to auxcopy 50 TbSmile to tape.  I also ordered a third MD1200  to expand it to 36 mount points

That's correct. Changing the retention is only part of it. The data aging operation prunes the data that meets the age rules.

    Glad you figured it out.
