    Build a Test Commserve - only one account available for login to CommServe - admin

    After adding installation of Operations Center and server restart, when trying to login to CommCell I get the following message:

    "Login Denied. User has no credentials on this CommServe"

    Has anyone encountered this error and do you know how it could be fixed as there is no other account than this one to login to the CommServe?

    Hi Stoyan, could you confirm the version and service pack of Simpana?

    Also if you could send the EvMgrS.log from the test CommServe.

    When giving wrong credentials  the error is:

    2676  8cc   03/16 05:03:00 ### EvSecurityMgr::userLogin() - Socket [1440]: LOGIN ERROR: Invalid login/password attempt with UserName [admin] from [commserve], Attempt [1/3]
    2676  8cc   03/16 05:03:00 ### ::sendResponse() - FAILED [Invalid login/password.]
    2676  8cc   03/16 05:03:00 ### handleLoginOperations() -  Encrypted Login Failed.Browser Session Id [4]

    Anyway it was a test server - so I have reinstalled it. But it was interesting for me - if I have only one administrator user - how can I login and how were the permissions gone.

    if this is the new installation, during install of commserve it asks for the credentials (user name/ password) and you need to specify here. Later once you login to the console you can create and assign permissions to the users.

    Hello Stoyan Valchanov,

    Your issue is due to Hotfix 41 and Hotfix 42.  The error is seen in the EvMgrs.log:

    2676  924   03/16 05:26:11 ### ..\..\..\..\..\..\Cte\Modules\Source\DbLib\ODBCApi\DBcursors.cpp() - ODBCApi\DBcursors.cpp ,line 552, Problem Declaring/Preparing/Opening cursor for Procedure AppWorkQueueGetRequest (Batch 1)

    	[DBErr]  ProcName:   AppWorkQueueGetRequest

    Ive pasted our solution content below:

    Login Denied. User has no credentials on this CommServe.

    This can occur after installing a new component or applying Hotfix-41 and/or Hotfix-42 on the Commserve. Follow these steps to correct the login issue and prevent re-occurrence:

    1. On the Commserve machine, navigate to the ~Simpana\Base directory
    2. Run RemoveUpdates.exe
    3. Go through the Wizard and Select SP9-HotFix-41 and 42 - Hit OK
    4. Once this completes, navigate to the Software Cache directory and drill down into ~\CVPackages\10.0.0\Windows\WinX64\Updates
    5. Run InstallUpdates.exe

    Once this completes you will be able to log into the Commcell again. To prevent this from re-occurring download a new copy of the Install Media from the Bootstrapper or from the Commcell console. The new Install Media has been patched to fix this issue.
