    v11 SP13

I need to figure out how to back up the VMs on KVMs hosted by CentOS 7. I am still puzzled by a couple of questions:

    1. mentions "For Red Hat, the proxy computer is always a virtual machine on the Red Hat cluster." What Red Hat cluster does it refer to? Can't I have VSA on a physical media agent server?

    2. mentions about oVirt which if I understand correctly is equivalent to vCenter in vSphere. If so, is it required to have oVirt? Can I back up directly from each indivudal KVM hypervisor?

    Thank you.

    Hi acpp,

With VSA,  we support protection of VMs running in RHV / Ovirt. Protection of VMs running on unmanaged (by RHV/Ovirt) KVM hosts is currently not supported.

To answer your questions, #1 we do need the proxy to be present in the RHV cluster that needs to be protected. #2 is not supported as explained above.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or need more clarification.
