    Hello StorageGuy007,

Yes i want to freeze a vm to get a consistent backup of an Oracle database.

I don't want to use the oracle agent if it's possible.

Is there any procedure to make this ?

    Regards.

    Hi,

Application Aware backup could be used for this. Oracle is VSS aware so that will be used to quiesce the VM.

we support streaming backups and intellisnap currently ( for non-persistent snap engines)
