    Pardon the repeat of this post but this issue is still not resolved and I am looking for ideas to help bring a resolution to this chronic issue.

    The problem started at the end of August. We have (2) Netapp SANS a 6280 where our production environment needs to be backed up to a v6210 D2D SAN.

    Our virtual environment is on this 6280 SAN our vcenter is virtual machine and our 3 esx hosts are esxi 4.1 and are connected over NFS on 10Gbe

    The snap shots are not being copied off of the production san to the D2D san thus snap shots are just building up on the production san.

     The following error is noticed:

    The client machine initiator address is not visible on the file server. Please check the SAN or iSCSI connectivity between the file server and the client. : [Initiators on host:[{vcname:uschivc01.domainname.com,esxname:uschivm02.domainname.com,username:domainname\commvault,password:blahblah] Are not logged into file server:[san01.domainaname.com]. Please check the SAN or iSCSI connectivity between the file server and the client.]

     the commvault user name was verified and able to list snaps it seems its unable to mount.

    Legend:
    uschivc01= is the vcenter virtual machine
    uschivm02 = ESXi 4.1 host
    san01 = controller1 of the production san

    We recently applied Sp3B but that didnt help wither but did fix some other issues we were havign not related to this.

    We have 1 commcell server and 2 media servers.

     Thanks..
