    Server 2008 R2 64-bit GXHSMPredictor.exe is returning 0 files regardless of the setting I input i.e.

    Hardcore setting to test:-

Begin scan when free space is less than : 100%

End scan if volume is freed to : 100%

Migrate if file size is greater than : 1

Migrate if access time is greater than : 1

Migreate if modified time is older than : 1

Any of the the file selection rules are satisfied.

Which should be selecting almost everything of the volume, but it's not!  Been asked to prepare a report on the advantages of archiving a particular system, it's hard when I can't get the results I need.

Try using the V8 version from the resource pack.

I wasn't explicity using "Run As Administrator" but I was using a domain admin account, which is also a local admin.

Just for the sake of completeness I did "Run as Administrator" and got the same results, as expected.

    Hi,

I am experiencing the same issue, did you get this resolved?

I also created the regkey as instructed in the html document and installed vcredist.

    Regards
    Martijn

    I just spoke with support.

There are known issue's with the version 9 prediction software.
I got a download link with complete 32 en 64-bits versions which work just fine.
They are fro mversion 8 (8.0.68).

I have no idea why they are not just in the download section...

    Anyway, problem solved!

    Regards
    Martijn

    Hi Martijn,

I will see what can be done to make this fix more accessible either by replacing what is in our download matrix now or added as an additional package.

    Mort,

If you are having the same issue with the Verseion 8 utility as you are with the Version 9 utility then please make sure that the following registry key is added to the server you wish to Archive

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CommVault Systems\Galaxy\Instance001\WinFSDataMigrator

Once that key has been added please try the Predictor Utility again

I also had the issue, thanks.

There is a typo in the title, whick makes it impossible to find the topic using a standard forum search (GSXHSMPredictor instead of GXHSMPredictor).

Is it still possible to edit it ?

I will see what can be done about editing the title so search is smoother.

    Thank You
