We have two software caches but have noticed that in the  CommVault\Simpana\SoftwareCache\CVUpdates\9.0.0 folder on each machine that they are not the same.

Local Software Cache has Unix, Windows, Windows64 and WinX64
    Remote Software Cache has WinX64

So the remote software cache is missing some of the folders and Linux machines deployed using it are all missing the service packs.

The settings for the remote software cache are enabled and autosync is on and reports In Sync with the Commserve and package status is valid.

I have downloaded SP6a which has updated on the local cache and the one folder on the remote cache has updated however the Unix, Windows and Windows64 folders are still missing.

If you create a new remote software cache location and synch the CommServe cache with it, do the folders look the same as this other remote cache you have?  If you run updates or installations on this remote cache, do they run fine?

If you run a download updates operation it should correct the remote cache locations (default option of synchronize remote software caches option checked).

Remember the CS cache location is the master so anything not in the master will be wiped from the remote location.

    Thanks for the replies.

JWeir - I have tried deleting the replication and the remote cache and recreating it. The system again reports in sync however the folder on the remote server are not present.

Vincenzo - I tried downloading SP6a, the one folder present on the remote server did get the update however the other folders were not created.
