If you select then download and install updates while you are installing the agents on a machine does it download it from the commcell?    and does it only download the ones relevant to the agent types you've just installed?

Hi AMJ, The initial Service Pack/Updates Install is downloaded via the internet (not the CommCell) and it will only download the updates applicable to the IDA's/features that are installed.

    Service Pack Install

    23. Select Download Pack(s) and Install to download and install the latest service packs and post packs from the software provider.

    NOTES

    • Internet connectivity is required to download updates.

    Thanks,

    Craig T.

This also depends on what installation media you are using.  The very early media had a bug where the download features wouldn't work.

I don't know when this was fixed.

I Second that, the media with SP1 included definitely does not download updates. Anyhow Is there a newer media kit out ? (SP4 e.g.)
