    Hi,

I am trying to add a netapp 8.2.1 7-mode filer as a nas client and use snapshots to protect the data.

Using NDMP backups of this client work fine. When trying to use intellisnap the connection fails towards the client.

This is from the logs on the media agent:

"2273 caf82700 12/11 11:37:39 1093 ManageONTAP::OpenConnection: Failed to get HTTP system version for server [blanas1]. Error:[13011][HTTP POST - Service unavailable]. This could be because 1. The server is powered down. 2. The server name is not resolvable from this host 3. Error with HTTP configuration. Please rectify the above errors (if any) and try again.

2273 caf82700 12/11 11:37:39 1093 ManageONTAP::OpenConnection: Failed to get HTTPS system version for server[blanas1]. Error:[13011][HTTP POST - Service unavailable]. This could be because 1. The server is powered down. 2. The server name is not resolvable from this host 3. Error with HTTPS configuration. Please rectify the above errors (if any) and try again."

The media agent used is in the same network as netapp, no firewalls in between.

Any idea what I need to configure on either this NetApp or Commvault to get the connection to work?

p.s. telnet from the media agent port 80 and port 443 of the netapp work.

    found the issue:

On the netapp a list of secure hosts which are allowed to manage the filer was defined. Added the media agent to that list and everything works.
