What's the variable to reference the CommServe via it's hostname and clientname?  I haven't been able to figure this out yet...

There is no built in system variable for it. Generally its not needed for any operations. what do you need it for?

I need to setup DIPs to our CommServe (remote computers that can't resolve the CommServe name, so we setup a DIP instead of using HOSTS files).

The command I've used in full command line is:

qoperation execscript -sn DataInterfacePairConfig.sql -si add -si SERVER.remotedomain.local -si SERVER.remotedomain.local -si CommServe01 -si CommServe01.ourdomain.local

I'm working on porting this into a workflow (ExecuteScript).  I have it all done, except that I currently have the CommServer parts hardcoded.  This work, but I would really like to not have it hardcoded so that I can have one script that I can import into multiple CommServes.

you can run this query and get the values for name and net_hostname

    select * from app_client where id=2
