Having an issue getting the web server and web console working on a server separate from the main commserve. They are on the same subnet, so no firewalls are involved, but after two attemps at installing, with the install going fine, I cannot access the web console. The web server, server, is a new Windows 2012R2 install, patched and updated. CommVault version is 11 SP7.
Installation completed with no errors. All services seem to be running. Browser version tried is both IE and Firefox, current versions.
MSSQL 2014 (from install media)
Java 8 (frm install media)
Trying http://mycomputer:81/console gives HTTP Error 404.0 Not found error
Trying http://mycomputer redirects to http://mycomputer/webconsole which eventually times out, giving a web page of a robot saying sorry ("The web service is unreacheble or is not responding").
Trying http://mycomputer/adminconsole eventually times out, giving a web page of a robot saying sorry ("The Web Service returned an unexpected response"), but shows a lengthy URL starting with "mycomputer/webconsole/cvAccountsSingleSignon.do....".
Errors in ..\LogFiles\WebServer.log
...csSecurity::GetProviders - Exception message [A network-related or instance specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
There are many of these. The server is running, and does allow remote connections.
Similar errors show up in DM2Web.log
Any hints, or a point to a more detailed installation guide would be appreciated.
