    Hi Gurus,

Just a simple question. I need to know whether there are methods to auxcopy backed up data which is already on Amazon S3 to Glacier (based on retention), without transferring data from S3 back to MediaAgent on local site before sending it to Glacier, which can saturate network link?

    Thank you very much,

There's no way to avoid the data back to the MA, thats how CV will push it back up to Glacier.

It is possible to configure a life cycle rule in S3 to move data to Glacier after a certain number of days.

Alternatively, if you want to rewrite the data directly to Glacier, you could have a MediaAgent in an AWS EC2 instance run the aux copy so that the data doesn't have to traverse the WAN back to your local site only to leave again.
