    Getting the below error while trying to backup a MAC machine. 
     
    The job was working fine and all of a sudden it stopped working. We had reinstalled the agent on the MAC, all service up and running
    Check readness works fine.
     
    Logs below
     
    2436  3954  09/26 13:44:00 698567 Scheduler  Set pending cause [Loss of control process ifind.exe.
     Possible causes: 
    1. The control process has unexpectedly died. Check Dr Watson log or core file. 
    2. The communication to the control process machine olm.stangelas-ursuline.co.uk might have 
    gone down due to network errors. 
    3. If the machine XXXXX is a cluster, it may have failed over. 
    4. The machine XXXXX  may have rebooted.]::Client [XXXX] Application [JobManager] Message Id [318767703] RCID [0] ReservationId [0].  Level [0] flags [0] id [0] overwrite [0] append [0] CustId[0].

    Hi Ganesh,

    This basically can mean the CS machine could not communicate with the Client machine.  Is there a Firewall in between the two machines that could be present?

    That can cause something like this.

    i don't seen any logs, just the error code. need cvd and filescan logs on the client side to start.

    Possible issues:

     

    1)Kill any active job for client.Check task manager for multiple iFind.exe process when there are no jobs running for client.This causes due to hung evmgrc service.

    resolution:

    Kill the hung ifind.exe,restart services - job should work fine

    2)Communication issue between commserve and client- Make sure commserve can communicate to client FQDN which resolved to correct ip - DNS

    3)Check if there is any firewall/antivirus blocking iFind.exe process.Exclude commvault processes from antivirus and firewall if there is any

    4)One more issue might be client certificate - check if there is old certificate.Remove it and renew the certificate only if communication is working fine

    Issues resolved after reintalling the Client agent software to V11 SP15.
