I'm not sure if I'd describe it as "running nicely", but AMP does not seem to affect backups. And backup performance improved over the previous tool being used (Symantec), but that was before I started here as the CV admin.
Restores have been more of a problem, as the AMP config isn't working too well, or on some servers it hasn't been completed. So the result is very high CPU usage, as AMP will scan the files streaming in from the media agent. Our temporary workaround has been to disable AMP on machines where large restores are taking place, but that's only been needed a couple of times.
Someday, time permitting, we should dive a bit deeper to stress test the AMP config.
