In a PCI environment I have a security admin asking me why I have an install of SQL 2012 in this environment. (Its Commvaults of course)

I currently have v11 SP6 in there now. (Its not very easy to upgrade on a regular basis.

However with service packs recently are we seeing any new versions being used? How would one go about working with this security admin if Commvault just comes shipped with 2012 instead of something like 2016 or newer?
