    Hi,

Sorry for the newbie question: If I have a directory backed up with Weekly full on Friday with daily incremental and I need to restore the directory today/Thursday, do I just select the time range from last Friday to today in Browse and Restore and it should show all the files backed up since the last Friday's full?

    Thanks,

No need to select a date range.   Use the default (from latest backup) The agent will display ALL the latest files from the complete "Cycle" starting with the "Full" backup.  I believe there are also options to show all versions of a specific file based on time (in case you are not sure which one you want)

The date range is helpfull in case you need to restore from an older backup (from a different cycle)

Remember one cycle = a Full plus all incrs following that up to and not including the NEXT FULL.

    Hope this helps...

    Thanks for the help.

However it's strange that if I right click the subclient and do Browser and Restore > select "latest" it only shows partial files in that directory available for restore. To compare if I select the last full, it has a lot more files I can restore...

I notice if I go to the Advanced tab in the Browse and Restore window, select Show Deleted Items, then there are a lot more available files for restore. Is this the right approach to do a full restore up until now?

    thank you.
