How would you go about configuring only the root filesystem ("/") on a UNIX server (ie. none of the other mounted filesystems).

There is an "advanced" job option when running a backup called "Follow Mount Points" that is selected by default.

Unchecking this option will cause the backup to only back up the mount point directories, and skip the underlying data/file systems.  I believe this should get you what you need.

Thanks, I thought there was but could not find it.

    Where's the "Advanced Backup Options".

    There's a client, a subclient, a schedule and a storage policy.

No job configuration that I'm aware off.

NP...   When you go to run or schedule a backup, there are Advanced Job options that can be accessed.  The first tab in the advanced options is called data which is where this option is located.

Let us know if you have any problems locating it.
