    Hi,

since last week (installing SP14), Shadow Copies from System State Backups (Windows FS Agent) are not deleting. On Every System State Backup, were getting a new persistent Shadow Copy with the type "ApplicationRollback".

Is there an Fix? We need it ASAP !!!

Tried latest Hotfixes from today, but no help.

    Regards,

    Zahni

Setting the VSS space limiation to the default of 300mb in the OS would deleted the snapshots.

You probably want to open a ticket for this issue.

Our Service Provider in Germany is "TIM AG". I have an open case there. Currently I'am unknown, if this is forwarded to Commvault.

I tried it, but 300 MB (320MB) does not work.

VSS wil delete the snapshot immediately after creation. The allocation size for that snapshot is above 300MB

v1 index FS iDA System State would be my first guess. If we're getting a successful message it's in response to the OS since CommVault only requests the snapshots through the API.

Let me know what your ticket number is.

Currently I doesn't know it. TIM AG (distributor) is our Service Provider in Germany.

We are unable to open cases directly.

We have the same issue after upgrading from SP13 to SP14+.

On the servers going full on disk, we are setting max % to be used for Shadow Copies as a quick fix.

We have installed all hotfixes etc. but nothing works.

The development team has addressed the issue Hotfix 1977.  This update will be included in the next release of the SP14 hotfix packs which looks to be 1/29

    Or run

    vssadmin delete shadows /all

    From an elevated commando prompt

The preRelease Hotfix v11SP14_Available_Diag1901_WinX64.exe is  working so far.

But it won't delete the shadows copies from the bug.

    You should inform your customers.

BTW: I found an other issue with SP14: VSS backup of locked files may not work, if the option "for locked files only" is used. "For all files" working fine.

No, this can be done with "diskshadow" only.

This Issue has been fixed with HotfixPack 6.

Please aware: all previously created shadow copies must be  removed manually using:

    diskshadow -> delete shadows all.

    vssadmin won't work.
