    Hi there,

Can someone clarify to me if the option to "Use hardware revert capability if available" reverts only the data I select or does it revert the full volume?

    As  an example:

    - I have a NetApp serving a VMware datastore being backed up by COMMVAULT with Snap  + Primary Copy.

    - I select to restore a particular VM and enable "Use hardware revert capability if available".

    - Will COMMVAULT do a SnapRestore for the full volume, or do a Single File SnapRestore?

    - Does it work with a remote mirror/vault copy?

For a VMware hardware revert for NetApp is only supported on NetApp NFS.  As such it only doing a Single File Snap Restore on each VMDK (and config file) that is associated with the VM; and not reverting the entire volume.

Also, any idea how restore from SnapVault works?
