We are trying to catch up right now on our aux copies since we have fallen behind; it looks like our weekend selective fulls that just completed this past weekend have taken priority and are being offloaded to tape right now, where the oldest selective full backups have apparently been made less of a priority. Is there a way to change this so that the oldest selective full backups are made priority first?

I did notice in the aux copy properties, the selective copy tab has options to pick the first full backup or last full backup, is it one of these? Right now the Last Full Backup radio button is enabled.

    Hi sadtaco

By default for all Aux Copy Operation:

    1. A media which contains oldest backup job is copied first.

In regards to the  "Last Full Backup radio button", all that is doing is picking up the last Backup for a specified period (i.e. Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly) to be selected for Aux Copied.

It is strange that you are seeing newer Selective Full Backup being Aux Copied first.

When you review the Jobs on the Secondary Copy, and check the Transfer Time, do you see any discrepancy (this should show you when Job has been Aux Copied)

    Regards

    Winston
