We recently upgraded out backend storage to new NAS appliances. Our old NAS appliances worked fine and the only difference between the new and old basically is that the new NAS heads use Windows Core and our old NAS heads were Windows Server 2012. Since upgrading we now have tons of timeouts. When I look at the Media Agent logs it looks like SMB times out and loses the mount paths for milleseconds at a time but still enough to disrupt the backups and cause them to go pending. I am looking for some help if anybody knows of configurations which might solve this problem.

    Hi Jeff

Have a look at the following thread -

It provides some additional registry settings that can be applied on the MediaAgent to manage/overcome latency between SMB shares.
