When I create a new mount path on disk, Commvault creates a new folder under it with a date-name and uses that instead.  Is there any way to use a path that I specify without including this long, meaningless name?

    Hi Sheree

The folder that is created when adding a Mount Path is known as a Base Folder. By default when adding the Mount Path, it will automatically use the date & time of creation to name this folder.

Rather then creating the Mount Path from Storage Resource -> Libraries -> Library Name, you can you "Expert Storage Configuration", and while adding Mount Path you can modify the name of the Base Folder.
