I have a customer who is using Posgresql 10.6 on linux (Ubuntu 16.04). My knowlledge op posgresql is very limited and the customer is doing some out of place restore tests.
The restores are done from the dumpbased backups and after the restore completes the customer notices that the roles (users) are not restored.
According to books online, the dumpbased backup does backup the following:
What Gets Backed Up
Dump Based Backup:
- PostgreSQL system databases
- PostgreSQL user databases
So I would expect that users can also be restored when doing an out of place restore. Anyone any experience with this?
