  • Feature Request: enable AppAware per VM, inside the subclient

Say I have one datastore on a NetApp server, and I want to use IntelliSnap (with snapshot retention) and SnapVault. Say I have both AppAware and non-AppAware VMs on the datastore.

With the current product I will have to create multiple subclients for this datastore, to support non-appaware and each different type of appaware backups, leading to multiple snapshots on the storage device and multiple snapvault transfers.

It would be greate if I could create a single subclient, and enable Appware on a per-vm basis from a list of the protected VMs for the subclient.
