    Hello All,

I have a properly configured SQL client.

All the backups are finished as Complete.

However, one of dbs has been constanlty skipped recently - the AutoClose was set to True.

The question is why is Commvault reporting the backup job as complete if one of dbs was skipped? Shouldn't it have status of "Completed with error"?

How can I make Commvault report skipped dbs as errors? Some additional setting?

    It's SP15 HPK4+ for Commserve, and SP15 HPK1+ for the SQL client.

And why is the DB skipped? Normally there should be given a reason ...

It's about the AutoClose option in SQL. I'm already aware of that.

Because the AutoClose option was active in SQL.

The question is not why was the db skipped. The question is why is it not reported as an error.

If the DB admin didn't check the backup on the SQL side, I wouldn't even notice one of dbs is not backing up as the job ends with status "Complete".

Thanks, but it's about AutoClose option in SQL. I've already corrected it.

    update the registry in commserver

    Name : bSQLSetCWEOnSkippedCount

    Category : MSSQLAgent

    Type : Integer

    Vaule 0-1

    Description:

Set the value of this additional setting as 1 to mark the job as Completed with Error, if few items are skipped during the operation.
