I'm trying to use the XML to update the properties of instance in one database of Oracle RAC. I'm getting problems because the only property that is changing is the 'Log Backup' in the database property. Command Line Backup isn't changing and subclients ArchiveLog and default aren't changing aswell.

    I try'd in 2 ways:

1st - Using the whole XML and trying like this command (example in the doc): qoperation execute -af <xml_path>\UpdateRACInstance.xml –cs <CommServeName> -entity/appName 'Oracle RAC' -entity/clientName 'RacPseudoclient' -entity/instanceName 'racdb' -racDBOperationType ADD -instancePhysicalClient/clientName 'racnode2' -instanceOracleSID racdb2 -userAccount/userName oracle -oracleHome '/oracle/oraclehome/' -racDBInstance/connectString/userName 'sys' -racDBInstance/connectString/password 'passwd' -racDBInstance/connectString/ServiceName 'racdb2' . In this case i get the error of " The system cannot find the file specified. "

2nd- Fill the fields that i want to change and perform: qoperation execute -af <xml_path>\UpdateRACInstance.xml .

    Can someone help me?

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Marcosjsilva,

Can you please let us know the following details.

    1) Are you trying add another node to an exiting RAC DB of the RAC Pseudo client or trying to modying the properties?

    2) Also please verify if the xml file is available in the given path.

For modifying the subclient, I suppose you used that correct xml  which resolved it. If still facing any issues with modifying instance, please do let us know.
