Was looking at space on the ContentStore folder for the commserver, and notice around 20 .dmp files.  One of which is CommServ_FULL_xxxxxxx.dmp, and is around 8G.

Can someone tell me what these are for, and whether they are needed?

    In ../ContentStore/iDataAgent/JobResults

Some of the files are date/time stamped 07/10/2019 around 1:30pm, and otheres 7/176/2019 approximately 7:30 am and shortly thereafter.

    Hi deb,

These related to a CommServeDR backup that took place on those dates.

.\ContentStore\CommServeDR and the Control Panel DR Backup settings are the locations for the scheduled DR Backups.  You will have recent CommServeDR backups located here and these

It is likely that .\ContentStore\iDataAgent\JobResults are uncompressed COMMSERVE\COMMVAULT database exports from the last Commvault update that was run on the 10th of July (or the 176th of july ;) ).  There is no need to keep these *_FULL_xxxxxxxxxxx.dmp files, however next time the CommServe gets updated - they will be created in this directory.  So apart from addressing an immediate need, it is far better to just extend the disk (assuming the CommServe is a VM).

Ok, that makes sense.  Was trying to make sense of the date, but those were the dates that the commserv was updated.  And I have extented the drive.  Nice to know why there were there.
