I have a problem with a automated appaware client deployment in a problematic network/Firewall environment.

    What we do.

    1. New VM is deployed into a datastore backuped via Intellisnap/appaware

    2. Commwault software for Appaware is installed (before first datastorebackup)

Client is then registered into commvault with backup LAN IP as hostname.

    3. Datastore backup is done. and the VM client object is created. the result is a "Gray" object

with the clientname "*_1"  hostname FQDN.
    the backup fails.'

    4. To get the next backup run we needs to run a workflow or qcommand to merge the objects.

Not a problem normaly, but we need the first backup to be successfull.

if we run the Workflow Refresh datacenters after (1) and before (2) the software install and client registration matches the objects and the first backup is successfull.

The problem is that the workflow times out after 120min. (Max timeout value.)

so I looking for another way of solving this. Powershell is preferd. and I'm looking into the

command add-cvclient. looks like a match when I look in the docs on api.commvault.com.

BUT, I have installed the powershell modules from github as recomended and the command

    is'nt there :(

    the commands I can find add-cvvm add-cvvirtualmashine don't do what I need.

    Any sugestions?
