  • Using a Domain User Account as a Service Logon Account

    Hi,

My customer is asking that we avoid using "local system" and "network service" and that we use domain service accounts instead.  Are there any recommendation about changing the accounts on the Commserve and Media Agents, or is it event possible ?

My fear is that this kind of modification might create problems and not be supported by Commvault.

I did not find any information about this topic in BOL.

    Thanks

    Phil

    Hi Phil,

We already have a officially documented support to use Windows Domain Service account.

Using 'Windows Authentication for Commvault SQL Server Connections' can help avoid using "local system" and "network service" by using Windows domain service accounts instead.

Please follow below documented Steps to configure your Commserver:

    Thanks and Regards,
