    Hello there,
While trying to back up virtual servers in hotadd mode, I get [ VDDK thread timeout, possible VDDK deadlock encountered ] error. Does anyone know about the subject?

It's a common problem. Have you seen these articles to help?

I examined the documents you sent. I performed the specified operations and started a backup. But again he got an error. Hardware versions of VMs receiving errors vmx-08. Could it be due to this? ESX version 6.0.0.

You need to make sure those changes are performed on the Virtual Server Agent computers and the VM's performing HotAdd. Was that done?

    Hi
Of course it was done. These operations were performed on two proxies. Backups started in Hotadd mode but received an error. By the way, virtual hardware version vmx-11 was made, but the backups started were completed incorrectly.

Certainly couldn't hurt to upgrade VMware where possible. The issue is in the VMware's VDDK.

    Hi,

After upgrading VVDK, we were able to get a successful backup. However, backup times are very long.
