I have a requirement to backup and archive a SQL database that is expected to grow to 130TB over 3 years. The data needs to be retained for 7 years on tape. I have suggested Commvault SQL Archiving but wondering if anyone else handles this sized database and how?

Hi Stuart, the SQL Server Table Archiving only supports out-of-place table restores. Often DBA's will just delete records older than say a year to keep the database size manageable and rely on the backup copies that haven't met retention.
