    Hi Danie,

have a look at "Move Mount Path" option - https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=9302.htm

    Hi Danie jr

As mentioned by Gary you can use the "Move Mount Path" option to migrate the data from one Mount Path to another Mount Path.

However we would need more details to provide the best possible option.

    For example:

    • Option 1 - if you would like to maintain two copy of your CHUNK data (both on external disk and local disk library), you can opt to create a new Disk Library (referencing the new Disk Library and new MediaAgent), and then run an Aux Copy from Source to Destination. You will end up with two copies (one copy on one MA and external disk & on the new MA and local Disk). Note - having redundancy is always good, so even if one MA is impacted you can still restore the data from the other MA.
    • Option 2 - if you are planning to decom the old MA and the external disk, then you can use the "Move Mount Path" operation that does a Verification (checksum) and Copy from the Source (external disk) to the new MA (local disk). After the Copy operation completes successfully, the MA will report back to the CommServe and update the Mount Path reference to point to the new location. Then after 24 hours the content of the old Mount Path will be deleted (if you need to free up space you can also manually delete the data)
Both of the above options are feasibile but it really depends on what is your end-goal

    Regards
