    Hi,

I am looking to move away from VMWare SRM to replicate VM's to DR site and started looking into LiveSync and the DataReplicator.

Would i be right in saying that the LiveSync option only replicates VM from your last backup taken.  So if VMs are backed up nighly then there is possibilty of loosing full day if need to revert to DR?

With VMWare curently doing our VM replication we have to option of replicating VMs every few hours.

Just wondering if Commvault has this functionality of replication from live VMs more frequently to replace VMWare replication?

    Thanks in Advance

to avoid your described scenario you can configure to run your backups more frequently.
you could run a backup job every 4 hours ie. after each completed job, the live sync process kicks in and the machine will be updated to the last recent sucessfully completed job.
so your minimum RPO setting is related to the time your backups need to run first.

you can advance this by using live sync direct.

    kind regards,
    Sebastian
