    Hi all

I'm wondering if any has been in this position before.

MA was working and half of the jobs went pending, (MA stop working in the middle of the night, I don't think there was any change applied after hour or when /before MA stop working)

We are able to trace issue to commseve is not seeing any software being installed on MA, but locally software packages are visible  with simpana status.

We wanted to obviously bring that MA back to commserve but want to retain its current DDB/IndexCache.

    What are our options?

Commserve see no package on the affected MA:

is this only for only one media agent or any other media agent in your environment

if you feel like software is corrupted, you can either run the cvpkgadd and do repair software or uninstall and reinstall the commvault software , (just make sure it register with the same client name and hostname), while reinstalling you may have to give a different location for index cache as the original path is not empty, This can be changed later and pointed to original location once the installation is completed in the commvault console > storage resources > Media agent > properties > Catalog

Thanks for your tips, it was what support help us with today.

Repair did not work, fetch details did not work.

In the end we had to do offline (dummy host entry for CS) uninstall all local packages then reinstall software locally (dummy host entry off) keeping  clientname and hostname exactly the same with the old one where we had issue.  And when it's all up and happy about installed modules, we did IndexCache relocation to the old location.
