After successfully backing up O365 (Exchange Online), the Exchange Online account shows up as member / owner of all Team groups. The account currently has Exchange Administrator and Service Administrator rights. We are not sure if it needs Service Administrator rights. The account was also added to an existing Application Impersonation group. Anyone seen this before / can we prevent the Commvault Exchange Online account showing up in Team groups (which is a bit annoying of course )?

Yes and it was super annoying when you have say 10-15 accounts to get around throtling.  The solution is to use upgrade to FR11.20 or FR11.21 and implement the OAuth2 App Registrations.  Once implemented you can remove that ownership requirement through tools like PowerShell for Exchange.

Note: It seems that you must set the Environment Type to Azure AD, which means configuring using the Command Center instead of the CommCell Console, but is especially a bummer for all those whom currently have a hybrid environment configuration.  If that is what you have then I'd recommend raising a support call and see what they can do implement OAuth2 with a Hybrid Config and I'd be keen to hear the results.
