    Hi

I install mailbox Agent on de 2 Cas servers, and with Outlook2010 64 bit i creat Profile on the CAS Servers.

I can see the mailBox when i discover them but when i do a backup i get a error: Faild to get list of mailbox error code 28:154

When i select the Mailbox server DB (not the CAS server) the backup runs but its only 0kb of Size?

    Somebody have a Answer

in agent properties for the mailbox agent, please make sure that you specify the Exchange Server names of your DAG servers, semi colon separated

    for example,

    DAGSERVER1;DAGSERVER2

Also, in the registry on the client where mailbox agent is installed, please create a new registry key under

    Commvault Systems\iDataAgent

    Name: sCASServerName

    Type: String

Value: name of a client access server which can be used to create a profile.  THis can be a hostname or fqdn.

Then rerun the mailbox job and it should work.  If not, can you please post a log of the latest job ?

if you could post the backup log that would be helpful.

Also, can you try deleting the profile before running the backup ? if the profile was created before the sCASServerName key existed, the profile could be in a bad state

We have seen similar errors before when the account used for backup does not have sufficient permissions.  As of Exchange 2010 SP1 the required permissions seem to have changed from the Microsoft side.

To fix this we have gotten the following instructions from Microsoft. Can you please try to run the following powershell command

    get-mailboxdatabase | add-adpermission -user <serviceaccount> -ExtendedRights Receive-As

Also, in ADSIEdit on the domain controller, make sure that this user is a member of the Organization Management group (under Exchange Service Groups) and that the Organization Management group has Receive-As permissions on the organization (sometimes this is marked as Deny by default). Then make sure that the Organization Management group has full control at this level.

If you then run the effective permissions for this group, it should have Full Control, All extended rights , send as, receive as rights

Here is a MS KB with some of this information included
