I have some oracle as well MSSQL agents installed in CommCell.

What is the best practies of backing up the DBs.

Should i take a full backup on like Saturday and then incremental backups until next Saturday?

The backup options avaliable in MSSQL are (full, Transaction Log & Differential)

The backup options avaliable in Oracle are (Full & oracle incremental level)

It's kind of difficult to state what would be best for your environment...   That relies more on what your requirements are.

Oracle iDA has the capability of performing online and offline backups.  Also for incremental, there are incremental levels 1 through 4 as well as cumulative incrementals.  In addition to this is also the archive log backups where a subclient can be created to perform more frequent log backups if desired.

Have you considered reaching out to your account team to arrange a PS engagement?  The Professional Services team from CommVault, can perform a site evaluation, based on your requirements and help with an implementation design that would be conducive to your environment and business requirements.  I have worked with the PS team on numerous occasions (For Oracle iDA roll-outs) they are quite good at configuring and implementing the Oracle iDA.  I believe they can also assist with the implementation of MSSQL iDA as well.

Thanks for your recommendation and i bit they are good. However, i don't need PS, our DB is not big yet. we have around 10 DBs and the size of each DB is not more then 15 GB.
